Hi there. Just found your blog on Fitandfortysomething. I think we are neighbors!! I now live in Woodbine, Md but grew up on Olney, MD. I would love to join a running group to keep me motivated. Do you still run with yours??
Hi Teresa! Thanks for commenting. My sister in law and her family live in Olney. I do still run with my running group – they meet in Alexandria VA, not sure how far that is from you. Also my running group uses the Galloway method – it is a run/walk method of running. I find I can run more often and farther using the run/walk than just straight running. If you are interested in this, there is a new training group starting next month. I can send you the link.

I found your blog through a web search about running and how to get from the couch to a regular running routine. While exploring your blog about your diet I was intrigued by your diet. I am not yet at the point of committing to a plant based diet but I was considering cutting way back on dairy products as I eat them at every meal: cream in my coffe, yogurt or milk at breakfast, cheese on my sandwich or salad, etc. What significant benefits you have found from not eating dairy products?
